That sounds normal. Smart tags don't have gps or cell tower connections. They work by using people's smart phones.

As an example. Say to put a smart tag in the middle of London, then leave it and drive away. Whenever someone with a samsung phone walks near it, your smart things app or find app will update the location of the tag to wherever that person's phone was. It might update every 15 minutes since London has a lot of people with phones.

If the tag is somewhere more rural or less populated, updates can take a long time as it needs someone with a samsung smart phone to be near it. This can take hours, just depends if someone walks near it or not. You can toggle a setting to let you know as soon as someone's device finds it.

So no your device cannot track it past 120m, but if someone else with a samsung phone walks near it, their phone will track it for you and update your map as long as they are within 120m of it

So it's not a real time gps tracker where you can see constant movements. You get occasional updates to it's location if someone with a samsung phone is near it. With the smart tag in my car, it gets an update maybe every 40 minutes depending on where I park. Also, apple airtags work the exact same, this is how Bluetooth trackers work. (Though the samsung ones have way better battery life and have a button)

Hello! I recently bought a 4-pack of Smarttag 2 trackers and unfortunately I'm facing the problem that I can only track it within a 120m radius and not outside that. Is there any solution to be able to track its location outside of that radius with my S24 phone?

Thank you very much!
