Workaround for Samsung Voicemail app not working with hearing a-i-d-s

I bought a Galaxy S25 in December because my Oticon hearing a-i-d-s claimed to be compatible with it. The S25 works extremely well with my Oticon hearing a-i-d-s for podcasts, music, phone calls, and notifications. However, the Samsung Voicemail app will not play through the hearing a-i-d-s. It only plays through the S25's tiny earpiece at the top of the phone.

I contacted my Audiologist who then contacted the manufacturer of my hearing a-i-d-s. The Oticon representative said this is a known issue with Samsung's Voicemail app. It is not specific to Oticon's brand of hearing a-i-d-s. The Samsung Voicemail app does not view the voicemail messages as streaming audio, and no one knows why. Enough complaints may result in a fix by Samsung. In the meantime, there were two suggested workarounds:

Ask the cellular carrier if there is a third-party voicemail app;

Use the cell phone to call the voicemail number (in my case, *86 or press and hold the 1 key, then enter the password). This allows listening to my voicemails over my hearing a-i-d-s.

I tried workaround #2. It works!

P.S. I have to hyphenate the word as "a-i-d-s" because the word gets censored if I type it without the hyphens. Sorry for any confusion.

I did this post using a web browser on my Windows PC, not on the Samsung phone. The screenshot shows the tools for text formatting and more.
