Gemini power button

Another "great" update from Samsung, when I press the power button instead of the shut down, restart options I get the Gemeni AI option. How do I deactivate this option, because it's frustrating that I have to type shut down button to bring it on the screen instead of appearing after pressing the button. Thank you

Settings, advanced features then side button. Mines long press power menu and double press camera.

I thought by bringing up the power menu by pulling down, the side button option was a pretty obvious way to "remedy" this.

I'd like to also point out, that whilst you may think the Gemini power button is all Samsung, you might want to consider that this is actually a very standard function on most other android 15 devices now, introduced by Google in their Pixel line. I understand it may not be your preference (me included) but it is something that's easily remediated in less than 5 seconds.

But this is greate feature from Google and we on Samsung have even more choices than other android-phones.

I avoid to use physical buttons anyway I can, so I turn off my phone with two options.

1. "Hey, Google, turn off my phone"

2."Hi, Bixby, turn off my phone"

As someone on here said there is an easy remedy. Once I had found the remedy it was an easy fix. However, it took me several days of searching to realise there was a solution!! I thought there was something wrong with my phone !!! Personally I think it was a crazy and nonsense decision to make this change without FULLY explaining to users what was happening. I would have thought users could have been informed they could make this change themselves to the way the power button worked. If I had been fully informed I wouldn't have spent hours/days trying to find someone to fix my phone because I thought it was broken!!! I want to use the power button as a 'powe🔥r button' to turn off the power!!!!!

Obvious doesn't mean that it's easy to find when you know the secret squirrel trick. Obvious means that someone who's never seen an Android phone can see it straight away. Ergo, this UI feature is objectively not
"obvious".

It is also objectively incorrect for the power button to do anything other than toggle the power or, at most, pull up the power menu. This is not finger painting in kindergarten arts class where there are no wrong answers. In this case, there is only one correct solution and Samsung's not even on the same planet with their UI defaults.

In fact, as someone who's designed UI I would point out that this setup is a horrible idea because it hijacks what is communicated and understood to be the power button to turn on an AI and hide the actual power off button from users who either don't know the secret, are stressed, or are in a hurry (e.g. in an emergency) and may be in a noisy environment and unable to look at the phone.

I think it is pretty foolish to allow google to change the function of a primary button on any device unilaterally, they could have just made it possible for the user to change it if they wanted it
