How to turn on cable box with smart remote

I'm trying to figure out how to turn ON my cable box (KPN) with the new smart remote on my S95C. It wont turn on when I select it through the source menu or any other way.

All the other functions (changing channels, volume, etc.) work with the smart remote once the cable box is turned on (either with the dedicated KPN-remote or with the physical button on the cable box itself). But it would be nice if I could turn it ON with samsungs remote.

Any tips how to accomplish this?

Mag gewoon in het Nederlands in een Nederlands forum. Wat is de volledige Model Code van de tv?
Deze staat in het zwart omlijnde vak op de sticker achterop de tv.
Als de tv aan de muur hangt, dan even het aankoopbewijs checken of hier kijken:
Instellingen→Ondersteuning→Over deze tv. Graag incl. de letters XXN.
Wat is de huidige softwareversie van de tv? Ga naar Instellingen→Ondersteuning→Over deze tv.
Over welke KPN ontvanger gaat het?

De modelcode is: QE55S95CCATXXN

De huidige software versie is 1400.

KPN ontvanger heet ARRIS (zie ook bijgevoegde foto).

KPN ontvanger heet ARRIS. Aangesloten met Hdmi aan de one connect box.

Thanks! Zou je Anynet+ (HDMI-CEC) op de tv willen inschakelen? Bij:
Menu→Instellingen→Alle instellingen→Verbinding→Beheer externe apparaten
→Anynet+ (HDMI-CEC).

Het is wel zo dat beide apparaten dit protocol moeten ondersteunen.
Ik weet niet of dit type Arris dit aan boord heeft. Misschien in de manual?
Of anders KPN even contacten.

want de kpn ontvanger zou eigenlijk 'aan' moeten gaan als ik 'm selecteer via de source in het menu? Of mis ik een specifiek knopje/combinatie van knoppen op de afstandsbediening?

Hoi @Fvol ,

Als beide devices CEC ondersteunen, dan zou de Arris moeten volgen als de tv aangaat.
Dus de vraag is of dat de Arris dit ondersteunt. Waarschijnlijk niet.
