Samsung KS8000 Time greyed out

The clock setting in my tv is greyed out and I am unable to set or change it. It just says that the function is not available. Why is that so?

Please do note that I tried it in various modes (TV mode/App mode) and have also reset the tv as well as the smarthub, but it has not helped.

Can you provide the full modelcode? its on the back of the TV and should end with xxn

The model code is UE55KS8090. Software version is 1242.

Thats not the full model code, it should end with XXN or something similar and its quite important.

From the back panel, the model number is UE55KS8090TXZG. Hope this helps.

Hi @_raVan_ ,

This is not a Benelux model, but a modified foreign TV (German).
The Benelux Model Codes always end with XXN and not with XZG.

This is a TV from the so-called 'Gray Import', mostly used for publicity stunts.

Those TV's are modified by the supplier to make them fit for the Benelux market.

These TVs can be a problem. Do you live in Germany or did you buy the TV in a Dutch webshop?
Why do you want to change the clock setting? This is usually on the system time.

The main problem is that my YouTube is not working. The app loads but when I click on a video, it doesnt stream. And i have been facing this problem since the last 1 week. I tried many solutions available online and one of the solutions is to check the date. None of the solutions have worked 😞

You haven't answered one of my questions. Do you live in Germany or did you buy the TV in a Dutch webshop?
The date or system time has nothing to do with it. What solutions have you tried?

If you haven't already, would you like to reset the Smart Hub? At Settings → Support → Self Diagnosis → Reset Smart Hub.
When resetting the Smart Hub, keep in mind that all downloaded apps, settings and accounts will be removed from memory and will need to be reentered or installed..

I live in Netherlands and i bought it from a webshop. I have been using this tv since 2016.

I have tried the below:

1) Reset the smarthub

2) Reset the tv

3) Disconnect the power supply for more than 10 mins

4) Restart the router after disconnecting it for 10 mins

5) Reinstall YouTube from smarthub (cannot remove it as its not allowed

6) Even held down back button so that YouTube app closes

Nothing helped till now.

Thanks for the answers! You can probably attribute this to the fact that this is a gray import TV.

The Smart Hub will then not work properly. See article. It is in Dutch: Gray import

You have tried enough to read that. The only option is to have it viewed remotely: Remote Service

The site indicates what it entails and how you should request this. Also in Dutch..
