Phone doesnt scan qr codes for specific apps

My phone does not react to qr codes in specific apps like digid. Its not the camera quality as it scans qr codes otherwise perfectly. I have done all sorts of stuff I have reinstalled apps, clear the caches, made sure the scan qr code option in camera settings is turned on as well as opening the links in the apps option in settings toggled on. Please help these apps are quite nessecary and them not working is very problematic.

Is the stuff you scan on a screen? Because sometimes if the brightness is to high it can't focus so it has trouble scanning! Try putting you brightness around the lowest level! Hope this helps

Nah that didnt work. Im pretty sure it has something to do with the fact that its those specific apps. Its ussualy for like dutch personal identification apps where you need to scan a qr code to verify who you are. For some reason nothing occurs when i try to scan those qr codes in the third party apps.

Im not fully sure what you mean by model number but my model name is 'SM-A236B/DSN' i have updated it recently to try and fix the problem and as you can assume it didnt work. I have reached out to the app developers but they are pretty useless.

also im not sure if its important but my phone has one of those prepaid sim cards as I lost my old phone very recently. I have no idea if that would change anything or not but that is something that may make this case a different case then normal.

You can also try if this issue can be resolved by setting your phone back to the factory settings 😇 Before you do this, please make sure you've made a recent back-up and don't forget to make one of WhatsApp

I really dont thinkg that factory resetting my phone is going to work. I just got it and I had to sign in to all sorts of authentication and bank apps and I really dont want to have to go through that process again as it is long and tedious.

Well, we are not the app developers, so perhaps this can be resolved with an app update. A factory reset is indeed a little bit of a work, but this can still help you out 😉 When you setup your phone don't do this with a back-up but setup your phone as a new one and install the apps one by one from the Play Store.

Im going to keep the factory reset option in the back of my mind. I want to atleast try some other potential solutions before i go down that route.

Try it with Samsung's official app which you can find in your quick panel if you have added it

Thank you for reaching out to us. What is the model number of your phone? And is your phone also up-2-date? Can you scan the QR-code with the normal Camera-app?

Do you also experience this when you have started your phone in Safe Mode? With the Safe Mode you start the device without installed third-party apps, the device then only boots with standard applications.

Hi Martijn,

Ik heb een S23 Ultra. Het probleem doet zich niet voor met de camera. Maar wel met andere apps oa payconiq, of mijn dolce gusto app of zelfs whatsapp om in te loggen op whatsappweb. ( laat ons zeggen alle andere apps waarbij een QR code relevant is) Heb reeds contact gehad met Samsung Belgium via whatsapp, deze zeggen dat ik mijn telefoon moet laten herstellen. Terwijl ik zeker weet dat het met een instelling te maken heeft.
safe mode heb ik geprobeerd maar dat haalt niks uit want ik kan de andere apps niet proberen.

Heb je het toestel dan ook al eens helemaal teruggezet naar de fabrieksinstellingen? Wanneer je je telefoon terugzet naar de fabrieksinstellingen maak dan eerst een back-up van je telefoon en vergeet WhatsApp daarbij niet 😇 Stel je telefoon vervolgens als nieuw in en zet alleen een back-up terug van je contacten en media bestanden, stel je apps één voor één in vanuit de Google PlayStore en Galaxy Store.

if you figure something out please tell me. What i have done which is like a way sort of around it is if you go to the site your trying to log into on your phone that has digid then it will ask if you have digid on this device and it will sign you in without scanning any qr codes.

na eer een tijdje over na te denken ( omdat dat wel een tamelijk werkje is ) , heb ik hem toch gereset. Zonder verbetering jammer genoeg, ik heb contact gehad met een repair shop in de buurt. Die zei me ook om dit te doen.
Nu weet ik het helemaal niet meer. Het is vooral heel vervelend omdat ik die funtie wel tamelijk veel gebruik voor betalingen ed.
