Is anyone else having issues with Facebook just randomly shutting down? I've updated everything possible, uninstalled the app twice, restarted the phone and nothing is working 😕 can't get past 4 posts without its shutting down

mines been doing it since Friday its driving me mad, now I'm having issues with the fingerprint aswell since updating its not recognising it 😒

my wife has the same on her s21 too. tried the same, cleared the cache but no improvements 🤷

I'm going to phone the company my contract is with tomorrow, only had it 4 days and its driving me insane already 🙃

I've a similar problem. I reported it to Facebook and gave as much info as possible. Hopefully they can resolve.

an app shuts down if it is updating itself, like FB

FB is updating almost everyday in the background

try disabling automatic updates

open Play Store → Settings → Auto update → tick never auto update

do the same with Galaxy store

should to the trick

I had the same problem after I transferred from my S20 Ultra to the S21 Ultra. After the xfer, I updated the FB app from the Play Store and the error would come up in Facebook when reviewing a post, going into settings, marketplace, etc. I cleared the data and cache, uninstalled the app, reinstalled from the Play Store and it works perfectly fine now. Not sure if that will solve your problem but it worked for me!

can I ask how you cleared the cache? was that on the app or play store? I can't seem to find this option on play store and Facebook doesn't stay on long enough to check that. thank you

phone settings-apps-facebook-storage-bottom right of the page clear the cache

thank you, i have tried that.. I've done a troubleshooting with Vodafone and Samsung today, their sending me a new phone as nothing was fixing the issue. thank you tho

mines going back tomorrow or Friday for a new one, tried all vodafone and samsungs tests and nothing worked, hopefully the next one will be better 😅

Same here. Got my S21 phone on Saturday. FB keeps crashing. I have uninstalled and reloaded app several times but it still keeps happening.

My fingerprint ID is playing up too. Reverted back to PIN. I am not enjoying my new toy as much as I thought I would. FB crashing and the emoji access has gone too.

Pls can someone help me out with Facebook for the love of God 🙏
So Samsung has it preinstalled does it not but like you all mine is crashing to.
I uninstalled it or so I thought but all u can do is disabled it.
I also did the same with messenger as well as it keeps crashing as well.
So when I enabled the Facebook app again apparently I now have two Facebook account as well as messenger account when I go onto my account section of the phone.
Even though I have only one Facebook account I'm not using dual messenger ( think that is what it's called) .
On one of the accounts it showing a number next to the word Facebook and the other one just has the word Facebook nxt to it.
What has happened to my phone since this new update as also my location is inaccurate as well.....
Apart from throwing my phone out of the window hahaha how do I start again without having to do a reset .
