Any tips as to why my phone no longer connects with my Sat Nav?

Galaxy S21 , connected with cable to car.

Worked well in past , now says " charge only" when connected to car.

I have tried others phones in my car and SNav works.

Is android auto updated and working? As in, can you open the settings for it in the phone?

I can yes. I have done updates etc. I have went through the process of connecting to vehicle ...but it always comes up with " charging only". Mystery.
