Good evening and Welcome to the UK Community!

Samsung’s storage sometimes fails to recalculate storage after large deletions, leaving “ghost data” that blocks uploads.

As this is a user forum, this can be changed remotely to your device, but we have a few steps you can take to help you clear this up. First, we would advise clearing the cache data as follows: Settings → Apps → Gallery → Storage → Clear cache.

Let us know how you get on!

Samsung shared album ghost storage?

Hello,

I am experiencing an issue with my shared family album in Samsung Gallery.

My storage usage shows 32.14 GB out of 32.21 GB as occupied, which prevents me from uploading new videos. I have deleted all content from the album and also emptied the cloud recycle bin. However, the album still shows 28.53 GB in use, even though the album is completely empty.

It appears the storage counter is not being updated correctly after deleting the files (ghost storage). I have attached a screenshot showing the storage breakdown.

Could you please correct the storage count on your end so the space is freed up?

Kind regards
