Yep, I’ve noticed this too on my S24. It’s super bright at night! Would love to know if there’s a way to turn off the floating battery percentage.

Hi,

I have a S24. On my AOD screen (pre-lock) there is sometimes a large battery percentage, in a circle, that floats around the screen whilst the phone is charging.

Sometimes this appears whilst I'm using a USB C cable and sometimes whilst it's resting on a wireless pad. There seems to be no particular reason as to when and why it appears.

I have power saving on most of the time, so AOD is not accessible in the settings menu.

Does anyone else have this floating percentage, and is there a way to turn it off as it emits quite a lot of light at night.

So, I've actually solved this but can't seem to delete the original post.

It turns out that it was a screensaver that was appearing. I use a battery widget app and it had automatically saved itself as a screensaver without my knowledge. It was the app's screensaver that was bouncing around my screen, I assumed it was linked to the phone's battery display

I changed this in settings > display > screensaver

Maybe this post will help someone in the future.

Hi,

I've posted my solution above. The app I use is called 'Battery Widget Reborn', which is what had become a screensaver. Not sure if your issue is screensaver related, but if it is then check my solution.

It's also possible to turn off the AOD battery display (not linked to screensavers) by going to Settings > Display and turning off 'Show charging information'. I now have this switched off too!
