NEW samsungA17 cant reset lock screen or even factory reset

I have a new work phone and tried setting it up with my google account which seemed to have worked but now I cannot access the phone as it has a lock screen and no pin is working i tried to reset with various online solutions and tried to connect to computer but it is still locked also holding buttons in just seems to put it to a useless safe mode . the phone is wifi on and flight mode on and i have not yet added a sim card incase it gets wiped as i tried lost phone reporting too. please help.

Hi there! It sounds like you’re hitting a security wall common with newer Samsung devices, especially work-issued ones. Since you mentioned this is a work phone, there are a few specific things to try:

1. The 'Work Phone' Factor (Most Likely)

If your company uses MDM (Mobile Device Management), the phone is likely tethered to their security server. Even if you manage to reset it, it may lock itself again immediately.

Action: Your best bet is to contact your company’s IT Help Desk. They can usually reset the passcode or 'un-enroll' the device remotely from their dashboard much faster than you can manually.
2. How to properly enter Recovery Mode

The reason you are hitting 'Safe Mode' is likely because the phone needs to be physically triggered differently on newer Android versions.

The Trick: Plug the phone into a computer via USB cable (this is often required now). The Combo: Hold Volume Down + Power until the screen goes black. The instant it goes black, switch to holding Volume Up + Power. The Menu: When the Samsung logo appears, let go. You should see a text menu. Use volume keys to select 'Wipe data/factory reset' and Power to confirm.

3. A Quick Warning: FRPLock
