Quick Reply Suggestions Missing After Jan/February 2026 Google Play Services Update

Has anyone else noticed that after the Jan-February 2026 update of Google Play Services, the smart reply suggestions in notification banners no longer appear?

Previously, when receiving a message in apps like Google Messages, WhatsApp, or Telegram, expanding the notification would show quick reply suggestions.

For example, if someone sent "Hi", the notification would suggest responses like:

• "Hi there"

• "Hello"

• "Hey!"

These suggestions made it easy to reply directly from the notification without opening the app.

Since the Jan-February 2026 Play Services update, these smart reply suggestions no longer appear in notifications on my device.

It was the Galaxy S25, S25+, and S25 Ultra, but Samsung released an update for Personal Intelligence a couple of hours ago, which seems to have fixed the error.
