Apps that appear under settings no showing in app drawer. Fixed for new apps, but how to get old apps in drawer?

In order to use my gym, I needed to install an app on my phone. The toggle to "Automatically add apps to home screen" was not set, so I did not get an icon for the new app on my screen. According to all instructions I can find online, it says that to add an app to home screen, find in in the "app drawer" (swipe up from bottom) then drag and drop the icon.

The problem? The app in not appearing in the app drawer! And the "drag and drop the icon" process does not work if I find the app under settings. When I try it says "Drop here to open" and launches the app, without putting the icon on the homescreen!

How can I get this app to (a) appear in the app drawer and/or put the icon on my home screen?

Hi @DopyDgz Welcome to the Samsung community
Ensure the app is not Hidden, from the App Drawer tap the 3 Dot Menu on the top right,Settings-Hide Apps on Home and App Screen. Tap on that and if any apps are hidden unhide it by tapping the - sign and select Done. I have hidden something just as an illustration.
if by any chance you are safe Mode , the Safe Mode sign should appear in the bottom corner, In this Mode 3rd party apps will not be present. To come out of Safe Mode restart your Device.
when the app appears in the App Drawer you can also long press the icon and you see option to add to Home screen.
