I noticed that too. Annoying that is doing that without being requested to do it. Is it AI is being forced on users or is it AI is taking liberties on it's own?
https://eu.community.samsung.com/t5/samsung-lounge/the-google-ai-question/td-p/14121703?src=ShareByUserCM

I was curious about something and typed it into Google search, and that in itself is not strange at all, we all doing that, right?

But..I got only AI overview, with few links and that's all, like I'm in Gemini app, on bottom I had only option to ask anything, pages with Google search results nowhere to find it. Then I asked it where are regular Google search pages, only after that I was able to see other Google search results. What a heck I experienced here?

Yep you need to click the searches no AI ones, like it or hate it, if you don't pay for Google, Alexa, etc... you will by helping build up its LLM, so sadly there is no escape, best to USE it and embrace it.

But I did search in 'regular' search, but it seems that it no longer answers questions 'regularly' but as Gemini, I still see regular Google search results if I search Samsung etc
