@costy90br: Please can you try tapping on 'Fix now', as this should resolve the issue for you. Alternatively, head to Setting > Apps > YouTube > Battery > Restricted.

I have youtube premium which allows videos to be played in the background. This hasn't been a problem until recently. Using the restricted settings causes the video to stop because the app gets put to sleep even though the video is playing in the background. My best guess is that it's a problem with the app. Like the phone is rendering the whole video even though it's only supposed to render the audio for the background play. Can you contact youtube directly and ask them to review background play and if it's using more cpu/gpu than normal?

The problem seems to be with the version 19 update that causes excessive battery usage. You can delete this update to return to the 18 version. This seemed to solve the issue.

Reinstall the app; that worked for me.
