topic Samsung Calendar Important Contact Reminders in Mobile Apps & Services

I've been using Samsung calendar for years. I just starting setting up contacts birthdays and other important days on their contact record probably about a year ago.

At first, everything seemed to work great. Enter contacts birthday/important date, birthday/important date shows up on calendar. I have reminders for contacts important dates set to off. All new information would default to that setting. Until very recently.

Now, when I add a new 'important date' for a contact, I'm getting not only 1 reminder, but 2 (day of at 9 am, as well as 1 week prior at 9 am). I have tried to figure out how to get these to turn off. Not only is it annoying that I'm getting reminders I don't want, but it also has me wishing people a happy birthday a week early because I feel like im forgetting their day when really they're birthday is a week away. How can I get these reminders on NEW contact important dates to also be turned off?
