Apps refreshing and reloading when I go off them temporarily

Hello

I've noticed a feature of this phone whereby if i go off an app to go onto another app temporarily perhaps to get a code or copy and paste something when I return to the original app the page has reloaded and therefore I cannot access what I wanted.

Is this a feature of my A17? I was hoping it is a settings thing I can fix.

It's less of a feature and more of how every phone works.

When an app isn't currently in use, the phone will close it if what you are trying to do needs more memory or cpu.

So what's going on is you probably have a lot running on your phone or some intensive app is running, when you swap apps, your phone closes the app you were just on because it can't keep them all running. It's not really normal for it to close an app seconds after you leave it, but it can happen if your phone is a bit overloaded or bogged down with apps running.

For things to try, open device care, press memory, press ram plus, set it as high as you can. That should help in keeping more apps open. While you're here, see if an app is using a ton of memory

I used to have an iPhone and it didn't do this. I was hoping it was an app locking security feature i could turn off. For example, I am trying to pay for things and the browser app asks me to go onto my mobile banking app to authorise a payment and then once ive done that I go back onto the browser app and it has discontinued the payment due to going off the app. Quite a frustrating feature

All phones do it. Your iPhone was just probably more powerful than your a17. It's not a feature, it's just how smart phones work. It's not really supposed to happen as much as you're seeing it, so you probably have lots of apps open at the same time or you have an intensive app running somewhere.

The a17 is the cheapest current generation phone samsung sells in the uk. Apple doesn't make budget phones so your last iPhone was most likely more powerful. Meaning it had more resources to keep apps open and only closed them when you didn't realise

On my A53, it was caused by the antivirus software from Eset.
