Because your using AI it will always leave a copyright mark, that's the way it is you can change that.

I'm having an issue: when I use "Generative edit" to make amendments to my photos, even performing tiny deltions of objects, it keeps adding the "Generated by AI" small text in the bottom left corner, which makes completely no sense – an image is NOT generated by AI, but a real one, my photo, but with small AI fixes.

--

I read some advice like to use object eraser to remove this stupid text, or crop the image (both distort the picture) – but come on, can't we just toggle some setting to disable adding it? Looks like some nonsense situation.

Use object eraser instead of generated image if you only have little changes as you said. Object eraser doesn't put AI watermark. If you use Google Photos, it's magic eraser is very good too

I have noticed that just "Object eraser" doesn't do the job as well as Generative AI, especially if I erase e.g. some wires against the night sky, – I still see traces. While Generative AI does its job really well, – however with this watermark.

Im afraid this is something that was agreed upon by governments and tech companies to show images that have been created or altered by AI
Its not something that can be turned off
Only real way is to crop or use eraser software to get rid of it
Easiest way is to shoot slightly wider to allow a touch of cropping if needed in post edit

That's absurd, but good to know the reason, thanks.

Heavy editing/changes or touch ups, OK I could see that, but applying to very minor editing, that's ridiculous. It's much better than the other tools, but I hate the label when all I've done is remove something small.

Google can recognise even small little AI changes, so it's better from you to be honest and describe what is AI on your photo than for someone to find out and then mark your entire photo as fake
