    <description>After downloading the UI 8 update and Android 16, my s23 Ultra runs slowly, is not smoth and some apps (Avast, natwest + others are corrupted.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Come on guys, please get the updates sorted before they are released.&lt;BR /&gt;I'd like to go back to 8/15, but don't want to lose data...!!!</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;After updating to One UI8 on my S23 Ultra my phone's screen stops responding to touch. I can still use my s-pen but not my fingers. I have to restart the phone and the screen will work again for a short time but eventually stop working again. The fingerprint reader seems to always work.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I have tried turning off all of the gesture settings, extended RAM, accidental touch protection and have turned on enhanced touch sensitivity but none of these made a difference.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I don't want to roll back to One UI 7 if I can help it, but my phone is unusable like this!&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;I actually figured out what was causing the problem! It's the fingerprint unlock feature (biometric reader).&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Anytime I unlock my phone using the fingerprint the screen is unresponsive to touch, though the s-pen will still work. If I unlock the phone by entering a PIN it works fine. So I turned off the fingerprint reader and the phone is working as expected. Again, this only started happening AFTER the update to One UI 8. It was working fine with One UI 7.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Hope this helps anyone else out there with the same problem.&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;I played around with this a bit more. I was wondering if the problem was the existing fingerprint I had set up in One UI 7 so I went back and removed the existing fingerprint and created a new one, locked the phone and unlocked using fingerprint. Again, the screen stopped responding to touch. Turned off the fingerprint unlock feature (biometric) and the screen started working again normally. The problem is definitely in the fingerprint software.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I had looked on Reddit and found a lot of people had the same problem after upgrading to One UI 7, but no one ever identified the fingerprint unlock as the problem.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;This is an easily reproducible problem that Samsung can investigate and hopefully fix.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;I had the exact same issue this morning after updating to UI 8 on my S23 Ultra. Thanks for pointing out the pen. Mine starts up, works till you screen lock it and unlock again with finger print, screen unlocks but then after that nothing works with your finger, use the pen then it works.&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Thanks, it worked, the fingerprint reader software is no longer working and my phone refresh is ALOT slower so not sure wtf Samsung did, they definitely rolled unverified software, same as what ASUS did in Dec 2024 with BIOS 331 and 331 on the I9 laptops after they friend the CPU through uncontrolled over voltage, just hope Samsung fix this bug of theirs.&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;I tried your optimize phone in battery care suggestion on my phone after re-enabling the fingerprint login and it DID NOT fix the problem. Went back to disabling fingerprint login.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I'm not even sure how the optimize phone in battery care option relates to this problem at all. I think you must have mistakenly posted your fix to the wrong thread.&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;I meant device care. Apparently it deletes all cache memories e.g. for fingerprint software as well. Anyways I restarted after that and first time it asks for pin code, then after booting fingerprint working normal again, and didn't have any issue yet&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>One UI8 update has stopped my S View Cover Screen working oj my S23 Ultra, the cover screen menu is not available in the settings. When I close the cover it no longer turns off my screen or locks it. So annoying! So I currently have an expensive Samdung cover that does not work with my phone! It was absolutely fine on One UI7!!!</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;on my S22U after maximum one week after update on ui8 and android 16, my touch and fingerprint just stoped work and no response after that ... i try wipe data cache, i reset the phone (so the fingerprint doesnt exist, and the block is with pin), i restart the phone in safe mode, restart phone forced ( volume down and power off) ... nothing work for me ... i only use the phone with s pen ... i go service and change the touchscreen or what? if is the software, and many people have this bug, why dont make a update to fix this??&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;i wait update? i change touchscreen? i change the phone??? what is that?&lt;/P&gt;</description>
