I found this app- Samsung food app on play store, will not let me create an account, I have to put my log in details in for my Samsung account, the creator is Samsung Foods, is this a legitimate Samsung product?

I believe for all Samsung apps you use you Samsung account,
if you use multiple Samsung accounts you split your ownership of your Samsung products, same like Google account.

I believe a genuine Samsung app or device will ask you to use your single Samsung account and it will ask you to use verification steps to acknowledge it's you.
