Hi, anyone know why apps do not update automatically?! I changed the setting on play store but still I have to manually press update. It is doing my head in as the apps are constantly bugging out and being slow due to not updating!

Apps usually auto update when your phone is on charge and you aren't using it. Meaning it usually happens when you are asleep with your phone charging overnight. If you don't do this, that might be why.

It also won't happen if you are on data or a metered network. There is an option to update on data but I'm assuming you have WiFi only set

Some apps won't update automatically as usually the changes, they need you to look at these in case you don't agree to something. Could be a change in the terms and conditions.
Or you have the option just to update without looking at what's involved

The thing I liked about apple is that you had the option and it would automatically download whilst using the phone

Some apps are updating eventhough you are not aware of it, others you have to update manually from PlayStore. There are hundreds of apps on your phone, some are like drivers for other apps and update manually. Other apps will ask you to update when you open them. They are all different depending on issuer and function. It's better to check PlayStore and Samsung Apps Store once in a while so you don't miss on any of the apps updates.
