I have a Flip 3 and the lock screen keeps coming on when I'm on a call which is extremely frustrating when calling an automated system.

@Valerie65: It is possible that the phone is simply entering an idle state, rather than locking completely. If you press the side button, this should restore the display while the call is active.

To check your proximity sensor, head to the Phone app > Keypad > Dial *#0*# > Sensor > Proxy Sensor & Light Sensor > Proxy & Light > Check your Lights Sensor readings. If the numbers are rapidly changing, then the feature is working as expected.
