How do I extract photos & videos from a Smart Switch backup

I made a back up of my Samsung phone (S9 plus) on my computer (it's an old one and I've since added and deleted photos from my phone, so the back up is not current), and I want to extract only the photos and videos from the Smart Switch back up, without going through every folder and every sub folder.

I want to put these extracted photos in a folder on my computer, and not back on my phone. Is there an app or way to do this?

@Lumpydoo: From what I understand, Smart Switch PC allows you to select specific categories when you restore data, so it works in the same way as Smart Switch mobile. With this in mind, connect your phone to your PC via USB > Open Smart Switch > Select 'Restore' > Choose the relevant backup > Select 'photos and videos', or the closest equivalent > Restore.

Hi Andrew, thanks, but I need to copy the photo and videos onto an external hard drive, not back on my phone...

So the smart switch back up is on my computer, and I need to move only the photos, vides, etc onto an external drive. So I'm needing to know how to take just those files from the smart switch back up (without going through each and every folder and sub folder) to move them to the external hard drive.
