@CFRF: Which device are using, and what is the current Android version? These details can be found in Settings > About phone, with the Android version visible in 'Software information'.

I have just tested this on a device running Android 15 / One UI 7 and, when opening the Camera app and swiping from the top of the screen to the bottom to open the Quick Panel, I was able to tap on the green camera icon in the top right (to indicate that the camera is in use), tap on 'Being used by camera', and this took me to the Permissions for the app.

If you can't see a green camera icon in the top right of the Quick Panel, then please can you confirm which app you are using at the time, as it may be the case that this app does not have access to the camera, or currently does not have permission to use it. You can check this by heading to Settings > Apps > Select the relevant app > Permissions > Camera.

Ok ,I'm not sure if you're getting what I mean
I mean a quick function and not block on apps individually
That's for the microphone, I toggle that and the microphone goes off completely .
This same function is missing for the camera .
I normally block access to the camera and microphone when I'm not using it but on this phone I can't .
Samsung A36 5G ,

Seems to be a problem that has been reported several times for a long time but Samsung isn't showing interest to fix it.
To me this function on a phone is imperative and a must have .
Basically it is a privacy function that Samsung is taking away from the device owners for no apparent reason..
Would be nice to to see this function on my phone anytime soon.
https://r2.community.samsung.com/t5/Galaxy-A/Cannot-find-Camera-access-on-off-button-on-the-control-panel/td-p/10642554

The camera toggle should be there. I've had it on my s22 and s25 ultra.

Open your quick settings, press the pen, press edit, look at the bottom list of buttons.
Settings, privacy and security, controls and alerts. Do you see these options?

Just checked with my a14, it doesn't have the camera option. What phone are you on?

As from my limited testing, it seems S series devices have it, A series devices probably don't

Is the A36 5G .
It doesn't .
Seems like Samsung is considering privacy options as premium features and only high end devices are eligible for the option.
Well ,it's wrong , I have several phones from different brands and all of them allow me this option .
Even a budget phone such as POCO has this option.
To be honest , a situation like this is enough for me to walk away from a brand as I treasure my privacy as much as I can .
This is not a premium feature but a privacy tool everyone should have accessss to nowadays

I just discovered this exact same problem on brand new US unlocked A56 5G. Camera icon missing from quick settings, and setting also missing from the menu where it used to be right next to toggle microphone and clipboard. I was furious and returned the phone. Out of all the possible software changes that could be made, WHY remove this one??? Hopefully Samsung will restore this feature in a future update when enough people start complaining and returning the devices. This is the very first time I have seen this issue anywhere.
