Yes, new OneUI is horrible.

Hi guys. So many years I'm with Samsung. I started use Galaxy from the first model. And it sad to start thinking about to leave this ecosystem. But as IT engineer, I saw this already in multiple companies. To cut the costs, or just because they are dumb, leadership is hiring incompetent people to do the job.

I have a rhetorical question. I don't want answers, I know them. I just want to write it here. Who are those teens or drunk clowns you hired to design new UI? Where did they learn ergonomics and design? In TikTok videos? I had pretty UI with transparent and neutral colors, especially clock/weather widget. Now I have eye-searing colors, icons screaming: "we are not iPhone, no!", and user-unfriendly design. Who draw this? 11 years old son of CEO, promoted to lead designer? Have you seen your battery icon, for example? What is it? Drug pill? Because it is anything but not battery icon!
Same with my Galaxy Book 360. You did manage to break Samsung Update, without even replace it properly. Instead of doing useful and convenient ecosystem, your applications become just annoying bloatware. For many years, I now forced to switch from once good OneUI launcher to 3rd party. Thank you, Samsung, for this update! I'm really thinking about switching to Xiaomi. Especially, because their phones become better.

I get you, but I enjoy the updates, and there is so much I can do now with Samsung devices, alot more than before. I am enjoying my Samsung stuff I own and that I want to own. I love the tablets and I am thinking to get a Samsung Book 5 360 actually.

Yes the icons are horrible. Too bright and in your face, the one ui 6.1 icons where so nice and nuteral colours and not in your face

Also forgot to add that the battery icon is extremely hard to see/read majority of the time. At least for me anyway with my visual impairment. The old battery icon was simple and wasy to read, why the hell change it.

Ha,ha, yay, keep the complaints coming in. I agree with you, it's totally ***** 💩 🤣 maybe one day Samsung might come to there senses and make sure they listen to they users isn't that what the beta's for, for feedback but do they listen, a big NO! and change in the future.🙏 You hope, you live in hope. 😂

Completely agree with you , the new update sucks big time, what's with the useless now bar? And music playing in the notifications panel, no thought gone into this ui7 at all ,

in my opinion Samsung is superior, think you would notice the difference with Xiaomi though more options with the Android system in any case. There are always mixed opinions with a New one UI but in the end most wonder what all the fuss was about. Some call for more radical change but when something a bit different arrives that does not always go down well either. Having said that I do not think the software is a massive change and a number will become accustomed to it. online guides and video can help but style is another matter. Feed back can always be sent via Samsung Members but recognise that for some Members venting may be therapeutic.

Still yout choice at the end of the day.

To be fair they make good points.. The new ui icons are terrible, too bright and in your face and ugly looking, most of them look like icons you would find on a cheap android phone from temu. The old icons where great and very easy on the eyes. They really messed up the update especially seeing as the battery icon is not a battery and also is hard to read, also when charging now the phone doesnt show a notification in the notifications to show the estimated time till full and to see it you either have to lock the phone or go to settings. Its poorly thought out. Some things i like but majority of it is just un-needed useless changes that made everything worse.

Just came by to say, yes, OneUI 7 is *****.

Who on earth thought it would be a good idea to hide the alarm icon behind the top pull-down menu needs a giant kicking and 3 days of humiliation in the stocks.

The battery egg is possibly the cuntiest thing I've even seen in any OS.

I think it's practically the same with just some minor changes here and there. For actual practical smartphone usage, not staring at icons, buttons or quick panels, it's somewhat better. Things like the screen transitions with apps feels better, smoother and look great on the tablet. It's been a great little upgrade on my S21 Ultra and Tab S8 Ultra especially.

No i dont need to see im using one ui 7 and no fhey are nothing alike. One ui 7 icons are awful and look like cheap temu phone quailty icons compared to one ui 6.1 icons

I dont think you have actually used one ui 6.1 or 7 if you had used it you would know that there a huge diffrences and not just a few minor changes. There are quite a few major changes between the versions like the fact that now they have redesigned everything and clearly not thought things out because theres poor choices like hiding the alarms, hiding the remaning time till full notification, etc etc.
