Please stop messing stuff up

Just got the oneui update for Galaxy s23. This is a request to Samsung to stop fing things up.

You already prevented me from controlling volume when the phone is locked unless audio is actively playing, because you do not understand that sometimes people get text notifications, and can't hit the volume down button at exactly the second that the notification goes off, but still need to silence their phone and don't l logging on is a pain

Now you try to shove AI down or throats with Gemini. Some of us actually care about our privacy, and don't trust all this ai garbage. But you clearly dodn't care about privacy, or you would give the OPTION to use Gemini before enabling it by default.

Then you screen up the clock on the lock screen, again, like you did with the last one ui update, so that puts two rows (hrs and minutes) instead of over row. Who on earth thought that was such a good idea that you wanted to reintroduce that bug again???

And you change swipe for the quick menu and notifications. The old way worked perfectly fine. You are not improving user experience by adding a new gesture that we have to be careful to but exactly the right part of the screen to successfully avoid or use. Added complicity is ABadThing. ALWAYS.

Samsung needs to hire some usability folks and actually listen to them

I read your comments with interest

On the S25 Ultra I am able to change the volume from the lock screen.......

Quick menu and notifications can now both be obtained by swiping down from the top. 😊

Hi! Welcome to the samsung members community!

1- you absolutely can change audio without audio playing...just press the 3 dots at the top of the audio slider to adjust all the audio types. User error.

2) simply dont use it...

3) im not quite sure what you mean with the clock....but use goodlock to customise as much as you please

4) this can be changed. Swipe down- click the pen to the top left- panel settings- combine. User error.

The Gemini/ Galaxy AI is some that's a particular of Google's Android operating system.
So any recent Android phone will end up with Gemini.
Apple has Apple Intelligence
So the AI stuff genie is well and truly out of the bottle
There are privacy settings you can go through
But pretty soon phone software is going to need the AI software to work as it all gradually intergrates

Other stuff on Samsung phones like the others have said. You can use Samsung Goodlock to change and customise your phone.
You can get different launchers to get a different look and customise options
With Samsung phones, you are not just restricted to how the phone comes

Personally im enjoying the whole new UI and features

How can I change my clock back to a standard view-not hour stacked on top of minutes? Can't locate any means to make this change in my settings.

Where can I find that? Looked everywhere in settings-nothing. Loaded goodlock, but none of my changes saved.
