Too true. And that is why my anxiety is always present. 😂

I have always had an insurance of some kind for a year or so. Ever since I went swimming in the sea in Spain with a 2 week old Samsung S3 (yes that was a long time ago lol).

Just a friendly reminder for those S25 phone users that purchased their phones during the preorder time in January.

If like me, you chose to accept the free 3-month period of Assurant Care+ insurance, then this is just about to expire and will become chargeable during next week. If you dont want to continue with the insurance then take some action now.

I am sure you will have received an email reminder, or will do soon. If your policy started a little later when the phone arrived then it will come 3 months after the start date.

PERSONALLY I prefer to have this insurance. It gives me peace of mind against damages. I always insure for at least one year, and for a price of a little more than a pint of beer these days (7.99), it means if I critically damage my screen through a drop, then I have some cover.

Some users are happy with cases and screen protectors, and prefer not to have these costs. It is a decision for the user. I do also use a case and protector against scratches, but like to add this for extra reassurance

These phones are worth up to £1500 these days... £7.99 is a small price to pay for the relative peace of mind.

NOTE: if you want to see the status of your Care+ you should be able to see this insettings - about phone. You can click through from here to see further details...

If you do decide to want to make changes to your policy, the following customer service contact should be applicable.

https://sales.samsungcareplus.assurant.co.uk/contact-us

Smiley

I'm unable to really afford this directly myself as you know I'm still working on trying to get a job, however if I do happen to have enough I would definitely get this as this allowed for peace of mind.

It does also depend on which phone, how much it is to replace etc.

Of course the top end of s25 ultra / fold6... Will set the buyer back 1500 to 1800.

The insurance does have some caveats... for example you have to pay an excess for a repair, but if a screen replacement of 400 to 500 is required then it is well worth it.

Many will believe that cases and screen protectors are enough.

I guess also, I have NEVER needed to claim. That tells me I am a pretty careful owner. But by having this it stops me feeling like I need to 'baby the phone' so I feel more comfortable just using it out and about, when I know I have an insurance.

I've never needed to claim either as my track record for looking after devices is pretty solid.
