Does anyone know if or when Samsung will support the defacto pkpass file format ?

If you don't know, pkpass file format is an Apple created file format that allows tickets, passes, Etc. to be imported into a phones wallet.

Many companies now issue tickets as PDF's and also attached a pkpass file.

Try https://wallet.google/. Alternatively, use https://filext.com/de/dateiendung/PKPASS to view your ticket.

Thanks for the reply, reading is not the issue, support from Samsung is the issue. Google Wallet hoovers up too much private data.

Yes, it is totally incomprehensible why Samsung still does not support pkpass files.

Sadly, the latest I have heard from Samsung on .pkpass support is... they will update users if it is released. Not really an answer to whether they intend to support it or when.

Sorry folks, after still more chasing of Samsung to find out when (or even if) they will support the defacto .pkpass format i am no further forward. The replies I get are either AI generated, or simply ignore the questions I'm asking.

As I now have memberships / tickets that are only issued as pkpass, I am left wondering about using Google Wallet with the attendant risks of data leakage; or going back to iPhone which I left many years ago
