I am in india for vacation. I broked my old samsung phone with french sim. I bought a galaxy M16 in india. But i could use to make call or text. How to unlock for french sim thank you

A sim card shouldn't be able to break a phone. Using a phone in a reason it wasn't made for can have strange issues occur though.

Can you explain a little more what exactly is wrong? Does the does the Indian phone not work with your French sim while in India?

Can you elaborate a little more?
I would suggest using a SIM card from your current region, as it may not work otherwise—unless your SIM provider supports it..may be worth contacting.

Samsung phones are region-locked, so they may be restricted in another country.

Actually i use indian sim in the m16 from india and it is working well. But if i wish and i need to use my foreign sim from france the phone reconize there is a sim but i couldn t call or text.
