Modes and Routines Super Thread (Help, Support, Inspire)

Been considering this for a while; Samsung's built inModes and Routine functionality at a hardware level can be incredibly useful, and a powerful automated box of tricks -BUT despite it's easy to use'If This, Then That' (IFTTT) input, sometimes you don't know what the possibilities are...so..in steps this thread...

Pleaseshare your routines or share ideas for routines tohelp, support and inspire others.

One UI 7(or at least the S25 series) can provide prompts and suggestions based on usage, and Routines+ in GoodLock gives even MORE functions.

I have submitted feedback to Sammy suggesting there is an option to share routines directly but until then👇👇👇👇👇👇👇

Notification Edge Lighting

If notifications are set to detailed, you lose the option for Edge Lighting so a work around is to use routines.

I have set edge lighting for different colours for certain apps:

IF > notification is received from [select]
THEN > Edge Lighting [choose style and colour]

Slow Charge Overnight

I have battery protection on, but Ive also set the phone to slow charge overnight:

IF > charging status is charging and [time period]
THEN > Fast Charging Off

When routine ends, return to the previous state.

Extreme Battery Saver

IF > battery is 10% or lower
THEN > display to HD resolution + processor to Light + Mobile Network 4G (max) + battery saver on + standard motion display

NFC on for Shop

I don't have NFC permanently on, so set it to turn on when I get to my local Co-Op

IF > Place [insert location)
THEN > turn on NFC

I used to have a routine for the night battery protection. Since Samsung has options built in I don't use them anymore.

Also having too many modes or routines can sometimes clash with each other , so one needs to be careful.

Having said all that. They have have to be one of the powerful settings a person can have to really make their phone their own besides GoodLock 😊

I live in an area with no 5G currently but when I go out there often is. Have a routine that disables 5G at home and turns off mobile data but enables when out

Oh and it also turns off my TV when I go out

Letting the phone learn my usage and adjust accordingly 😊

To add I have been using the S24 ultra and now the S25 ultra and find most of these routines redundant now or not necessary.

I've set a routine so that when the phone is connected to my home network it turns on extend unlock. I find it's more reliable than using a location for extend unlock.

I also have a routine to turn on mobile hotspot when my phone is connected to my vans Bluetooth. The head unit in my van then uses my phones data.

+1 for Routines and Modes, but another app Samsung needs to show more love as it is awesome.

For basics i use it to for timed, concidtional device switch on or off.
Beyond that location and tim based watch faces and sound modes.
Best ones are for location tracking, arrive at, left ...

Problem is as you get a taste for it, your realise most non Samsung apps don't play with it, but thats like every OEM ecosystem so not just Samsung.

when i arrive home e detects and change what i want, but , when i out from home doenst change alone, dont understant. can some one help me ?

I find the powers of Modes and Routines immense, albeit hidden. I can't wait to see what creative automation comes up, especially with Routines+ and One UI updates down the road.
