Samsung Music - Will not play music over bluetooth only plays out the phone speaker

I've tested multiple apps (Youtube, YouTube Music, MoviesAnywhere, Bandcamp) and all play fine over Bluetooth. Samsung Music will not. Despite being connected to a bluetooth device (speaker, headphones) the music comes out the phone speaker. This started immediately following a software update.

I'm on an S23Ultra:

That's strange to hear. Have you checked whether you have setup options under sound for Samsung Music as a separate app. You can set it up to play specifically from a bluetooth device or speaker or the phone.

Found solution.

In the expanded volume options (gives you control over individual app/system volume) there's an icon above each app indicating phone or Bluetooth. Click the icon to change between the two.
