To do so, head to Settings > Advanced features > Side button > Double press > On > Choose from 'Quick launch camera', 'Quick launch Samsung Wallet' and 'Open app'. There is also 'Press and hold' which can open the Power off menu, or Wake Bixby.

Power button idea

Hey, I have a button design idea. So basically the power button will become multiple purposes. What I mean is that if pushed down it can put the phone on silent or just make it an action button so it can do anything. I recommend the default be the silent button. Next, if pushed up, it can turn the phone off silent. As you know it's something like the IPhone silent button but better reason been you guys don't have to make another button hence wasting material and money I honestly don't know if you guys will even see or read this I don't even no if this idea already exist but yea Thank you

Sounds like another point of weakness and something fiddly. I personally think the button setup is fine as is, the power button already has multiple uses, long press, single press and double press. Too much more will just complicate.

Then if we were to stay with the double press on the power button could they also make it be able to put the phone on silent?

Personally I'm not in favour of this. Pushing buttons up / down instead of pressing them will result in broken devices.

The next thing will be "the power button has broken and Samsung want £xxx as it is deemed to be broken by the user" blah blah blah

Power button already has several uses as @AndrewL has eloquently explained.
