Bulgarian language phonetic traditional for physical keyboard

The issue is that on my Z Fold 4 there is a good phonetic keyboard for the Bulgarian language. But for some reason the physical keyboard can only do some sort of weird phonetic keyboard that doesn't match (some keys ) the phonetic keyboard used by the phone itself. Can Samsung please add the Phonetic Traditional option in an update! Its a really small thing to change yet it will be better for any Samsung user that attaches a physical keyboard to their phone. IM sure is not that small set of people.

I have the same issue. Using tab s8+ combined with mx keys mini the following contradiction occurs:

There are 2 standards for bulgarian phonetics - Traditional and Bulgarian State Standard. The traditional one is way more widely spreaded among users, but for some reason there are differences between virtual and physical keyboard standards. The virtual one is okay, but the protocol for physical one calls out the older standard - The Bulgarian State Standard. Please, add an option for choosing between traditional and BSS.

I have the same issue on my s8 ultra tablet. While using dex and attached physucal keyboard I cannot use the phonetic Bulgarian... ? Any news on that?

You could try More Physical Keyboard Layouts. It works great for me with a physical keyboard in DeX.

Thank you very much Lacho. This saved my day after upgrading to UI 6.0 my previous app for phonetic keyboard stopped working. Your suggestion works even with the latest firmware.

What Lacho suggested worked, but it mainly worked since it prompted me with the notification to adjust the Physical Keyboard input language.

I found the setting in "General Management > Physical Keyboard > Select it again in the Physical Keyboard list with the Name of the Keyboard > Now you can select language type per language" and set the type I wanted.

Afterwards I uninstalled the app and the setting remained working, however the app does add many more language types not available, so you may need to keep it.

In my case (Samsung galaxy tab s9 with book cover keyboard with touchpad) i managed to enabl Bulgarian phonetic traditional by going to:
Settings > Physical keyboad > Book Cover Keyboard > Bulgarian phonetic traditional.

In that case it actually switche the layout.

More Physical Keyboard Layouts solution works perfect! Tried It months ago and escaped from the Physical Keyboard "Nightmare". Learned about by just Googl-ING my problem.

And "sticked" with, because Samsung doesn't offer Alternative ...

SAMSUNG, please ADD language support for Bulgarian, as for Czech and Romanian, for example? For the future Bulgarian-Samsung users, at least...

I have a Samsung S25 Ultra, having the same issue. Unfortunately, I cannot install More Physical Keyboard Layouts because the app does not support the phone, likely due to Android 16 not yet supported by the app.

Samsung, please add the Bulgarian Traditional Phonetic layout for physical keyboard.

I am getting more and more disappointed by Samsung products, as my watch became useless due to this (here as well) and Samsung is not supporting Bulgarian Language in Samsung Translator.

P.S. Manually downloading the More Physical Keyboard Layouts app from github repo looks like a working workaround for me. Alternatively, manual download from here might also work.
