I would like to respectfully suggest that Samsung's next update include user-selectable options for the application. I find it highly customisable and personally enjoy using it, as it enhances the phone's unique user experience. It makes the phone feel more personal rather than having a standard application setup for all users. Should Samsung permanently remove it's messaging application and opt for Google messages, I would seek an alternative, as I prefer to minimise my interaction with Google services.

Personally I use Google messages and it works fine (I don't use RCS).

There is talk of Samsung winding down it's messages app (and maybe more in the future) as both offer a fairly similar functionality and experience and it would enable Samsung to roll out updates and OS quicker.

Hi.

I love and use Samsung messages.

But as I have stated before, somewhere.

I believe it makes it hard for Samsung to maintain some of the apps due to its partnership with various other companies ( google, Microsoft, etc) to support so many apps which not only burdens resources but also delays software updates and support.

I do agree that there should be options given if possible ( unistalling being one of them instead of disabling) as I love sometimes to go all google or sometimes all samsung and mostly a mixture of both.

And that's why I love by Samsung.

Because of the CHOICE they offer.

And I also feel that's what makes them stand out.

To be fair on google's side of apps . I love their google One cloud as it lets me back up everything to cloud and then dont have to worry about how many times I want to reset or if you loose .your phone.

The moment you sign in google everything is back.
