Request to change an emoji

Dear Samsung Community,

I kindly request an update to the emoji representing the Syrian flag on the Samsung keyboard. With the recent changes in Syria, including the fall of the previous regime and its replacement with a new government, it would be great to replace the current flag emoji (red stripe on top, white stripe in the middle with two green stars, and black stripe at the bottom) with the new Syrian flag design (green stripe on top, white stripe in the middle with three red stars, and black stripe at the bottom).

Thank you for considering this update to reflect the new representation of Syria.

Please see attached pictures of the current Syrian flag in Samsung keyboard emojis and the new one.

Hello there
I totally understand where you are coming from. But you are talking about something that needs international community recognition from a legal point of view.
Once the new flag is officially recognised in the UN as a replacement to the old one, then it will be replaced in the keyboards.
However, that was the flag of the uprising, maybe Syrian people deserve a better brand new flag altogether, so no rush

I would go a step forward and change the name of the country from the irrelevant Greek-pronounced Syria, to the actual one Bilad Alsham. And instead of being Syrian, you will be Shammi

Ayo my guy, it’s already been raised over many embassies and the Syrian president held a speech at the UN conference in the US. The flag has been recognised and there is no such thing as needing a better flag because that is the flag people fought for. It represents freedom.
