Restore text messages

When I upgraded from s22+ to s24+ (phone), of course I did a backup on everything possible. When I synchronised my text messages and calendar on the new phone, however, I have just now noticed that only a portion has been download from the Cloud.

My question is, if I choose to restore from the last backup, will this overwrite my current data and delete everything since the upgrade? Obviously,I don't want that - only to recover and add the older data. I am specifically wanting to update text messages and calendar. I use samsung's apps for both.

I hope someone can answer this question.

It will duplicate mostlikely not sure, this is why using transfer app is best option since then it can copy from old phone over to new phone directly.
