Latest mobile update

The latest update to my S23 added a drawing app and installed 2 icons on the edge panel. Bad enough and disrespectful to my choices and data selections but not being able to remove them is infuriating. Anyone else had this messing with your device without consent. Adding an app is one thing but placing it in a priority location and then not letting the owner move it...seriously!

@ricc2024: I'm sorry to hear of your frustration regarding the addition of these apps/features on your Galaxy S23. Software and Security updates can include new features that become an embedded part of the operating system, however they are not designed to be intrusive in any way. Panels such as Smart Select and Weather cannot be edited, so if the icons have been added to either of these Panels then it sadly won't be possible to remove them. I apologise for any inconvenience this may cause you.

Sorry to hear of your frustrations.

However please also note that Android is owned by Google and many changes that are made are actually made by Google and other OEMs may not have a choice but to include them as they form part of the structure of Android.

Hi there 👋 if you want to remove them just tap edit and 3 dots and disable them
