Samsung gallery is no longer compatible with my S23 Ultra. What is the best alternative app or solution?

Go to settings > security and privacy > updates. Make sure security update and Google play system are both on latest update. Make sure all apps from Google and galaxy store are up to date. Try a wipe cache partition in recovery mode. You could even try safe mode, see if its an app that's causing issues with gallery app.

That won't help, my Samsung Gallery hasn't been compatible with the Google Play Store for a couple of years, it's up to Samsung, not Google Play, Samsung doesn't release updates in Google Play, but for some reason it says to me that the Gallery is from 2017. It says that even for my S24U. And I don't know how to change the settings, Samsung doesn't react or do anything at all, I already wrote to Samsung about it, but nothing. The Samsung Gallery was not compatible with my S9+, nor with the S21 Ultra, nor now with the S24 Ultra

If it is coming up in the playstore it's not compatable. Does it still update in the galaxy store? If so i wouldn't be too worried. The gallery app is a system app, one that can not be uninstalled or disabled. As long as the galaxy store updates the app I wouldn't worry. Gallery app doesn't even appear in my playstore. It's updated by galaxy store.

That's unusual, I had an update for the Samsung Gallery app just a few weeks ago on my S22ultra. The Galaxy Store has been sending out a lot of app updates this week for the run up Ui 7 coming on stream early next year and the beta is just a few weeks away.

@Sweetcheeks71 @Sonora: App compatibility issues can arise if a device is being used outside it's intended region. With this in mind, please can you confirm where you purchased your device(s), and where you are currently based.

In the meantime, please try heading to the Gallery app > Tap the 3 lines in the bottom right > Settings > About Gallery, and check for any available updates here.

You tend to find Samsung app on the Galaxy store, not playstore

Check there, I am sure you will find it. As others have said I can't see Samsung core apps not compatible

Yes, I get an update in the Galaxy Store, but Samsung never answered why I see duplicate applications, sometimes three versions, and sometimes they are not visible in the Galaxy Store at all, instead of the application, only the Galaxy Store opens when the link in the App is clicked

I never changed the region, and I bought the S9+, S21U and S24U directly from the Samsung web in my country

I just check mine, not there. Have you clear cache on playstore, maybe it was there at one point

Checked mine there's no samsung gallery app in play store only in galaxy store.

I didn't think there was any Samsung app on Playstore. They usually release apps on their own Store

Not that I'm aware off its Samsung’s system app so it makes sense to release on their own store.

Many times, not work, most of Samsung apps I can find in Google Play too. Even if the update is in the Galaxy Store, applications are upgraded from Google Play, like Samsung Internet browser this morning.

Hey. For gallery updates what @AndrewL has mentioned is the correct way I have found to check manually for gallery updates. Otherwise it will pop up automatically in updates or be updated with the monthly security updates sometimes.

Isn't the gallery a system app. Anyway just use Samsung store for Samsung apps not Play store.
