Google messages auto reply / auto responder

Verizon message being discontinued by Verizon and they suggest moving to Google messages. I need an auto respond capability. Can anyone help ? Thanks

( BTW this is an S20FE - I heard that Samsung is also discontinuing its native Message App ( or has already done so )

Samsung messages isn't being pre installed on new models but at the moment you can still download it from the play store, that might change soon in the future throu.

I note you refer to Verizon as your carrier which suggests you are in the US?

You might be better off reaching out to the local US Community for support as software etc differs between regions.
