Auto spacing does not work in Chrome

I am having an issue with swipe texting. In Messenger / SMS I have "auto spacing" turned on and it puts a space every time I lift my finger when swipe texting. In chrome, it does not create a space. Any fix to this?

Which keyboard are you using?
Samsung
GBoard
Microsoft SwiftKey

If using Samsung, try using GBoard as that should work. If you prefer Samsung then as @Robin999 had already advised, you'll need to reach out to Google as the App Developer.
