Anyone having problems with halifax banking app, mine has stopped working, tried reinstalling, carried out updates ect

There was an outage yesterday. However, someone has suggested disabling any ad blockers you may have.

Yep , I posted about it yesterday .
Eastman 81 gave the solution.
I turned off adguard , logged into Halifax ( wouldn't get off the Halifax start up screen till I had turned off my adblocker ) .
Once signed into Halifax you can then turn back on your adblocker and it works as before .

Yes. I am having the worst time trying to get into my halifax app. Neither phone nor tablet will work. The app works fine on my husbands phone so it isn't an app issue rather than something going on with Samsung. I don't have an ad blocker so can't turn that off. Any suggestion will be gratefully received

I haven't got an ad blocker , I had ds blocked on Google Chrome but I have altered the settings but still no different

TBH I find it hard to believe that an ad blocker could interfere with so many banking systems and even though one user has claimed that disabling the ad blocker worked, I'd still be looking at the individual banking institutions for a fix.

I really can't see it being the app as it seems to only be a problem on my Samsung devices. On my husbands Moto the app works fine.

Mine is working fine. Also have another look at this. If is oy certain phones and not the whole samsungs means that is only certain phones users. The ad blocker in my case was doing the problem. The banking apps are using ads so they would not be able to run if that is enabled on you own device.

Done that too I almost reset the whole phone. Go to settings > connections> more connections and make sure you have Private DNS as automomatic

I needed to turn off App Tracking Protection in DuckDuckGo. Not a good sign.
