Unable to add Gmail account to Samsung email

Hi,

I am unable to add Gmail account to Samsung email app.

It's working with yahoo, Hotmail and other accounts but not with gmail.

I tried reinstalling it, but no luck.

Using Samsung M31s with Latest version of Samsung email app.

Error content as follows,

The requested content does not exist.

GMail is a Google feature only so you can only use wuth your Google account.

Just checked mine and it's working okay. I also use the Samsung Mail app to check my Gmail. I'm not sure about the error message you're getting but if it was me I'd start again and try adding your Gmail account again being careful to enter all details correctly.

Could you please check by clearing all data of Samsung email app and then try adding the Gmail account.

Yes, just removed my Gmail account from Samsung Mail app and then re-added it. Everything is working as it should. When you add yours, ensure the server settings are correct. Are you using anything that could block communication to the Gmail servers ie VPN, etc.

Also check the 3rd party services linked to your Google account. Check Samsung Email is listed. See screenshot

I had the same problem, here's the solution: uninstall the app and download an old version compatible with your device - you can find it on apkmirror. This is a bug in the app that prevents authorization to access the Google account. After getting your first login, you can update the app without any problems.

I tried the same, tried installing the previous version of app but it is not getting installed.

It is just showing app not installed.

You need to proceed with installation of the google account for the email that you try to add, get permission for the Samsung mail app to use your Gmail and then remove google account. See the video here: https://youtu.be/i-ZpJNfSZGE
