All apps and system updated.

Cache cleaned, phone restarted.

Message app is down

The message SMS app is crashing all the time.

It opens but when you start typing it crashes immediately. This is a global issue and unsurprisingly Samsung is keeping schtum about this hoping it will go away with prayers.

I recommend you swap to the Google message app until Samsung sort itself.

go to setting and then app, then look for meet (google meet) then disable it then it will work for samsung message app

My (Samsung) messages app worked just fine last night. When I tried to send a text message this morning, the app would shut down after typing a few letters. I found some advice on other webpages, I tried "force stop", cleared data and cache, and uninstalled all the apps that have been recently installed to see if they were causing the problem. None of this work. I finally just found your comment on this post and BINGO, my Messages app is working fine.
Luckily I don't use Google Meets, so no big deal with disabling it. I feel bad for the people with this problem that use Meets reguarly.

go to stting on your phone , then scroll down look for apps, the scroll down when you see MEET then you will see an option at the bottom disable

Samsung, this did not fix the txring issue on my phone. I so far can not txt 10 people for over a week.
