Why pasting images from clipboard works only on some apps?

Taking a screenshot or using smart select ads a copy of the image taken to the clipboard. However, when I try to paste it on Google Docs app I get the following message:

Can't add images to Docs through clipboard or Samsung Keyboard

The same happens on docs in Brave browser, and I saw another post complaining about the same prblem on facebook app. However, I can seamlessly paste images from the clipboard on Samsung Notes and WhatsApp.

Workaround: I found that saving the image, then going to gallery > image > ... > Copy to clipboard, and then pasting it on the document will work (and in the browser too). Although this is not ideal at all.

This error showed up consistently in my both samsung devices:
Galaxy Tab S6 Lite: SM-P620, Android 14, One UI 6.1
Galaxy S20: SM-G90F, Android 13, One UI 5.1

I'm still getting "Can't add images to docs through...." even when I've copied to clipboard. What am I doing wrong? Using TabS9U

Update: I can do it if I long press on a blank part of the doc and tap 'paste'. Can't do it when tapping the small pic insert (see screenshot)

i can't paste images at all. I refuse to ever allow enable or use the invasive edge panels that constantly het in the way EVER. i utilize fron the clipboard in keyboard only! fix this irs a must have for mr or I will sue you samsung for nreakubg u device and demand full refund on my phone for defrauding me im very serous i desperate lly require this featiyr and i cant stand edg3 panels at all thrmey get in the way too often and are too hard to use with samy big fingers. so dlput my clipboard ability on samsung keyboard anle paste the images that are on the clupboard but unselectavle after yoylur horrible one ui 7.0 uodate.

I am usung the S21 model phone idk if its a glitch with older model phones but it needs to be fixed. stop forcong Edge panels and AI i dont want it

some websires dontcallpw to upload from gallery and require copy and paste only. Thos is where i slhave issue and i use this alot
