Samsung browser as default not in google activity history?

Hiya, I set the samsung browser on my galaxy S20 fe "by default" and I m surprised to see it records activity coming from the Google timeline but not my search on internet. Any explanation why?

Google Web and activity control stores history from Google apps and services or from apps that use Google aservices.

Samsung Internet app is from Samsung. Only Google Chrome browser history is stored if you have enabled web and activity control in your Google settings.

My boyfriend and I both have Samsung Galaxy A03s' and we both have our own Google accounts signed in on our own phones but I have his Google account added on my phone and my Google account is added on his phone. I use Samsung web browser as default. I never use Chrome as a general rule. He uses Chrome as his default browser. When I looked at his web & app activity under HIS Google account, the searches I had just made from MY phone from SAMSUNG browser were listed under his activity. I can't understand why that would be.
