Barclays Debit Card Support...

Why is Barclays. One of the biggest UK banks not supported by Samsung Pay. Especially now that the Barclays app no longer supports contactless. I have purchased a £1,300 samsung phone and literally have to use a competitors wallet (google)

It's an absolute joke that Samsung has been around so long yet have such little support on certain things. My wife has an iPhone and has support for every mainstream integration, service or app

I have been with Samsung for years, but only upgrade every few years. But the lack of persistent mainstream support gives me no reason so stay in the Samsung economy system.

The amount Samsung charge, and the fact they want to overtake Apple. Samsung should be actively working with suppliers to get their phones supported as widely as possible.

Yeah i know its a pain in the ass that they only support few banks. Im using curve(samsung pay plus) card that its free and have all my banks in there. Usually i only use my main bank but its a good option to have as can change cards so easily and only have 1 card in my Samsung pay

Barclaycard still don't support Google pay. It's not Samsung fault.

Yeah, a real pain. Don't really want to sign up to curve. I use different cards for different purposes, curve sounds like added hassle for what should be a native in easy feature.

True but you can have all your card in curve or just the main bank i done it as prefer Samsung pay than google pay as it have extra layer of security.

They are pretty similar in terms of functionality.

I am reaching the point of ditching Barclays Apple Fanbios and Barclaycard, ridiculous since last year Barclaycard advice is use your physical bank card and Google Pay for your debit card, absolutely useless.

I also use Curve as a workaround but for purchase cover it was unclear if I get the same cover

Curve is a debit card and has no section 75 protection for purchases so I avoid using it.

I can't believe that one of the oldest credit cards has no pay support.

I don't bother using Barclaycard anymore.
