Appcloud why is this allowed?

Hi, why is this app called Appcloud installing random apps? Are you serious, Samsung?

I can show proof that I specifically UNselected your games and pressed finish update. Then suddenly a bunch of garbage apps are being installed. How is this even legal? Why is nobody taking action?

@Members_npiXo5a Should be able to disable. You could check the Galaxy Store settings to try and avoid the automatic downloading of apps. Go to Settings - Apps - Galaxy Store - Mobile Data > Allow background data usage: toggle it off.

Now go back one step and select Change system settings - Allow permission- Toggle it off.

Go back a step again, Select Install unknown apps - Allow from this source- Toggle it off.

That is the textbook response, now riddle me this..... WHY DID IT REINSTALL? Right now on the s24 ultra, I did those steps yesterday and now appcloud is back and everything like nothing happened.

Hey, I'm having the same issue. I carefully deselected all apps, clicked finish update and then some random games / apps started installing on MOBILE data! I hate BS like this. This is not serious coming from a company like Samsung. For BS like this I'm now seriously considering to sell this brick and buy a normal phone. This should NOT be legal at all! Total joke with the users. What about my parents that can't search and implement 'solutions' to those problems brought from Samsung? Total disappointment! Samsung is getting lower than xiaomi now.

Yep, this is what I don't like about non standard skinned android, alot of manufacturers add a bunch of apps you don't need and mess with androids core functionality.

I wish they all just used standard stock untouched android on all phones, so that everything is consistent across all androids and there isn't any bloatware.

But obviously that's never going to happen...

I have just had the same happen with me. I most definitely unticked them, which is annoying enough to start with. Now they are just downloading them if you want them or not. Very bad practice 😕

I have just had this happen to me for the LAST time. It should NOT be legal for them to start installing things without user permission and it is very bad practice.

I am upset too. The Appcloud is intrusive and not asked for and unwanted. Companies need to be held liable for our invasion of Privacy!

I would like to point out that if you go into Settings > Apps and search for App Cloud, scroll to the bottom and click configure and then click on Privacy Policy, you will see that this app is not preloaded by Samsung. It is preloaded by your mobile network. Three is one mobile network that preloads this app onto their Samsung phones, I'm not sure about other carriers. So Samsung is NOT responsible for this.

If you don't want this app preloaded in future, either get your next phone from a different mobile network like EE (I use EE and I've never had this app on any of my phones from them so I know they dont do this), or buy the phone outright from somewhere like Argos, Amazon, or even direct from Samsung.

Not true, i got a sim free and yet i have it!

They purposedly made the top 3 without the dot as selected to mislead, you need to tap them and deselect to disable just after you done all 3 the button changes from instal to finish

Misleading and installing unsafe and ***** apps needs to stop

For sure they get paid to try force install insafe, untested, unwanted app on your phone, customers pay too, so you should put customers 1st they are your source of income without a customet there is no phone and no app, without the app there is a happy customer. Make the math and thing what you want samsung!!

Change the layout of the appcloud.

Make a secondary confirmation the customer realy wants to install any selected apps.

Not like 3 without the missing dot selection and preselected.

And then they say you consented in the instalation because you pressed instal the hidden selected apps you didn't knew about. What a shamefull strategy!!

Done on behalf of samsung by a 3rd party (just read the licence)

Perssistent lil one closing it and it keeps popping up!!

Hidden Pre-selection of apps.

I can't wait for the day they forceinstall a hackers app and they get sued for their strategy.

Solution for this as far as i can think.

Click on each app that doesn't hace the (●) and disable it

bottom tab should change from install apps to finish.

Or and also

Close the app

Go to settings/apps > force stop, disable, clear data ( this should disable it permanently unless samsung also wants to violate your rights again and activate it without your consent

I just bought a Samsung phone for my kid, setup all the safety stuff, now all of a sudden he needed to "complete some process" which looks like it is part of the onboarding flow. I selected nothing yet all of a sudden all these garabage apps are being installed without parental permission!!! What is this BS!

not true it was added in my phne it was added after upgrading to one ui 7 after i opened the galaxy store it started auto install and install apps without any action I dont authorize auto update or install even for the ui or any app also my network company they not install also they was not pushed by any network

what makes it weirder that there is no explication from samsung or in their store if you try to search for appCloud you do not find it until this day also they did not introduce it as new thing in their conference or videos for these year

My last Samsung device. This situation is clear evidence that there is not a single person in Samsung's management who possesses ethical and moral values.
If the relevant legal authorities let this go without punishment, that would be the real big mistake.
