Device health services

I had a notification about the above app being sent into a deep sleep today.

When I looked the app up on the play store it says it was no longer compatible with my device so I went ahead and uninstalled it.

I've never seen this app before or used it, is it an app that realistically should be on my phone? If so is there an equivalent I can download as I can't find it anywhere on Google play now.

I've managed to uninstall it. Should I not of done that?

My partner also checked his s23 and it wasn't on his to start with

This is what Google Play Store shows.. something has gone wrong ...

The app can only be disabled on my phone as it is a system app. I have S22+.

That's strange it gave me an option to uninstall it on my s22 and it's saying the same on my Samsung tablet which I have attached a picture of

It's the same on my S22ultra says isn't compatible anymore. Don't even know why it was installed as it was already installed when I set it up. Didn't know what it's meant to do.

I've spoken to samsung about it on live chat and they have been trying to find a way for me to reinstall it so that tells me it's something that's needed. There having to set up a call back with me so access my phone

Ahh okay yeah so a comment on there states that the app isn't compatible with one ui 6 and Samsung has its own version which is the device care.

I spoke with Samsung on the live chat and they have stated its not something that is actually needed on our phones to function or anything

Any news from them? I manually uninstalled it in the app list... Maybe a bug? Looks like most OneUI 6 phones received that notification today? Not sure if uninstalling this harmed my battery life

Let's hope that's the case and it won't harm our battery life... One would think that they really shouldn't ask users to manually uninstall this... Imagine less tech savvy people getting this notification... No wonder people are switching to iOS

I don't think it will. All phones should also have device care on there which helps with battery care. Either way its not compatible with one ui 6 so for those who still have it, it won't be doing anything positive or negative anyway it will just be sat in the back ground doing nothing

That's the impression I've gotten after speaking with Samsung and other posts I have read anyway. I don't have enough knowledge to say for certain

You'd think so... But android and Samsung aren't necessarily known for its bug free usability 😅 and I say this as a guy who stuck with android since 2010
