They're definitely on the SD card. It says so on the picture details, and also i can see them if I connect to the computer, and another also - they're definitley not in the DCIM folder in the internal storage. Ooh, and another, I checked my camera settings too. Thanks for looking into this. 🙂

This seems to be the opposite of the problem most people have - if I connect my phone to my computer I can see all my photos in "SD Card\DCIM\Camera" no problem. However, when I run My Files on the phone itself it shows the DCIM folder as empty, although other apps such as Gallery work fine.

Any suggestions?

To verify this, please open the Gallery app > Open one of the photos > Click Details > Note the file path listed underneath the photo (where it shows the date).

Clearing the My Files cache didn't do any good. There don't seem to be any updates on Play Store (oddly Play Store shows the latest version as 13.1.01.321, while my phone shows the installed version to be 14.4.00.2 - go figure!). I've posted an error report so we'll see what happens. Thanks for your time (are you a Samsung support person or just a helpful user?)

Searching the web, it seems that Android will not use NTFS at all. I have a Sandisk for Samsung, and I'm pretty sure it was pre-formatted, probably exFAT. However, I can't find anything that tells me how to check the format. Does anyone know?
