S7 Calender issue

Hi, I have a S7 ( yes I know it's ancient but still going strong) I use the calender a lot on there...the one which came with the phone. Not Google calender... Recently I have stopped having a notification on the day of an event. I have checked the notification settings for the calender and they are still on and ok. Nothing to do with the time of event ect. I always had a notification waiting for me in the morning. Any suggestions will be very much appreciated. Thank you in advance.

Phone isn't supported anymore so I believe your phone downloaded an update your phone can't fully support. Just a thought though.

@Lex01: Please can you try heading to Settings > Apps > Calendar > Notifications, and make sure that all relevant notification options are enabled from here? Furthermore, head to Settings > Notifications, and make sure that Calendar is toggled on in the 'App notifications' list.
